Saturday 13th October
89a Shacklewell Lane E8 2EB
This is a 3-hour class in my East London weaving studio, held in conjunction with Wool Week and the Campaign for Wool.
Over the course of the class you’ll be creating your own wall-hanging using a variety of yarns, fibres and techniques. You’ll be learning the same processes that I use in my own work every day, and you’ll also be able to peek behind the scenes at the process of creating my handwoven tapestries. There will be plenty of time for one-on-one teaching, as well as opportunities for me to answer your weaving questions.
You’ll go home with your own handmade loom, weaving tools and instruction booklet with all the information you’ll need to keep going with weaving.
Coffee and pastries will be served during the class. Please let me know in advance if you have any dietary requirements!
Please note tickets are not refundable, so please make sure you’re able to attend, or find someone else to take your spot!
About Wool Week
The Campaign for Wool’s annual Wool Week will mark its ninth year with an extended programme of events and interactive consumer moments from the 8th – 21st October. The week will celebrate retailer collaborations, interactive pop-up event in Covent Garden and a series of workshops across the UK. The Campaign for Wool is a global endeavour initiated by its patron, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, in order to raise awareness amongst consumers about the unique, natural, renewable and biodegradable benefits offered by the fibre.
