Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th April 2019
89a Shackellwell Lane E8 2EB
This is a two-day class held in my London weaving studio. It takes place over the course of a full weekend, running from 10am-6pm on Saturday and on Sunday, with an hour’s lunch break at 1pm.
In the class you'll weave your own 45cm x 75cm rug using high-quality rug wool from my own collection. You will be working on a traditional upright frame loom.
There are only 4 spaces available per class, this allows for plenty of space and one-to-one teaching time.
We'll be discussing various rug weaving techniques and their histories and applications in different cultures around the world.
You'll be learning the same processes that I use in my own work every day, and you'll also be able to peek behind the scenes at process of creating my handwoven rugs.
You'll go home from the class with your own hand-woven rug, a copy of my illustrated tapestry weaving booklet, and a fact sheet with all the information you'll need to keep weaving.
Coffee and pastries will be served during the class, so please let me know in advance if you have any dietary requirements! You will need to bring your own lunch or buy one during the break.
Please note that workshop tickets are not refundable, so make sure you're able to attend or that someone else can take your spot!
